Challenge #242

Happy Tuesday to everyone!  Welcome to Try Stampin' - Or Not!  If it is your first time visiting, we are glad you came and if you are a regular viewer, thanks so much for coming back.

Our photo this week is a bit of a seasonal one.  This is a shot of the beach on Lake Superior in the autumn.
There is a colour version but I think the black and white adds to the starkness of the scene.

On to our top 3 from sketch #240:

Great cards, ladies.  And a reminder, these were in no particular order.

Now for our challenge this week (courtesy of Hillary).  Since Halloween is so close, I decided to add an optional them: BOO or EEK!

And here are the inspirations from our team:

Wow!  Such beautiful cards from our designers.  I know you are inspired by them and cannot wait to see what you create.
Remember, our challenge runs for two weeks and you can enter here or on our Facebook page.
Happy creating and Happy Halloween!

Designers - Rookies and Veterans

Hi everyone!  I want to introduce you to the newest members of our team AND reintroduce you our veterans as well.

Please welcome to Try Stampin' - Or Not - On Tuesday three new designers:

Lori Stroup

Sharon Burkert

Vicki Milyard

I am excited to add these talented ladies to our team and cannot wait to see their designs!

I would also like to reintroduce you to the other ladies on our design team.  They are not only the most talented card makers around, but also the most helpful, kind and positive group I know.  Without them, there would be no Try Stampin' - Or Not.  So I would just like to say "Thank You" for being the ladies you are and for being part of the team.

So again, welcome to the new ladies and huge hugs for all of the members of our team!

Challenge #241

Good morning to all!  It appears winter is just around the corner here and our photo this week is a small reminder of this.  There was snow on Friday and Saturday nights and our marigolds show the evidence.
It just seems too early for snow!

There are some changes to our design team and tomorrow will announce our new designers in a post of their own. We are excited to welcome these ladies on board.

Our top three for challenge # 239 are as follows (in random order):

Great cards, ladies!  Great creativity!

Now, for the main event.....our challenge this week.  Our sketch is courtesy of Hillary:
And the optional theme is Leaves: 3 D

And here are the designs from our team:

Beautiful cards, team!  Each and every one has a unique take on our sketch.  I am certain our viewers will want to get out their supplies and do some card making.  And I cannot wait to see what they come up with.  Thank you so much to our talented team of designers for these stunning inspirations!

Remember that our sketch runs for two weeks and you can enter here or as a comment to the post on our Facebook page.  Have a great week and I look forward to seeing your cards.

p.s. Check back tomorrow to meet the new members of our team!

Challenge #240

Good morning..and happy day-after-Thanksgiving to anyone in Canada.  Hoping everyone around the world had a great weekend and that you are ready to do some crafting this week.
As always, we are starting with my photo of the week:
We were out with the dogs along the beach at St. Ignace and these geese were startled into flight.

Now for our top three from challenge #238.  Here they are in random order:

Cool cards, and each so different from the others!  Congrats and thanks to the others who joined in as well.

Our sketch this week (courtesy of Barb) has an optional theme of AUTUMN.  You may use this theme or not, it is up to you.
I for one love geometric designs...and I hope you do as well.

Here are the cards from the talented ladies in the team.

Simply stunning, ladies!  I love the colours and textures of autumn and I LOVE the examples from our team.  I am sure you will be inspired to create something beautiful (or fun) of your own.
Remember, our challenge runs for two weeks and you can enter below or as a comment on our Facebook page.
Happy card making this week!
