Challenge #255

Good day to everyone out there!  Hope everything is well with you.  Like a lot of places, we are in the throes of winter now and the photo this week represents the season.  Weeds covered in snow are, to me at least, often a pretty sight.
White on white makes for an unusual photo  but I am really happy with this one.

Our top three from challenge #253 are as follows:
(from Facebook)

Great  cards, ladies!  And the other entries ere awesome as well.  Thanks, everyone who participated.

Now for this week's sketch...We are going back to a bit simpler sketches for a while with no theme attached.  I want to see if we get more people joining in the fun.
Pretty simple, eh?  Let's see what you come up with.  Here are the samples from our team:

Only two samples today but I am sure you will agree that they are both beautiful cards and both very different from the other.  I am sure you will be inspired.

Remember, our challenge runs for two weeks (Until February 9th)  and you may enter below or as a comment on our Facebook page.  Happy crafting, everyone!

Challenge #254

Good morning, or afternoon, or evening... no matter what your time zone, Hello!
This is a few minutes late but  I am having computer issues so please be patient with me.

Our photo this week is one of a cardinal in one of our feeders.  They are very shy and scatter when we go outside so I have been trying to sit outside so they get accustomed to me  being there.

Our top three from challenge #252 were difficult choices to make - we had loads of entries!  Thanks, everyone.
Here they are - in no particular order......

Honourable Mention goes to:

I LOVE IT when we have so many cards that we cannot pick just three!

On that note, we have no cards yet for last week's challenge but you still have a full week to get something done.  So, please try to make the time to  enter.  Our designers (and myself) would really appreciate it.  And, if you want our site to continue, we need your support.

On to our challenge for this week...Our sketch is a pretty clean and simple one and the optional theme is SIMPLE ELEGANCE (use it or not):

And here are the cards from our talented team:

Thanks, ladies,  for all of the gorgeous cards and for the inspiration you give us.  Amazing use of the sketch!
I know we will see some great cards from our followers.  Remember  that you have two weeks to get your cards done and you can enter below or on our Facebook page.

To end, I just want to say thank you to Barb.  She has decided to leave our team and we all wish her the best.  We will miss her... lot!

Challenge #253

Happy Tuesday, all!  I hope everyone can now relax a bit after the holiday season.  Holidays are lovely but it is always nice to get back to the everyday routine.

This week's photo is one I took of some dried and withered maple keys still "hanging on":

Now for our top three from challenge # 251.  Here they are - in no particular order:

Wow!  Congratulations to our top three and a hearty thank you to everyone who participated this week.  It has been a long time since we had so many entries and I so appreciate you following us - and I know all of our designers echo that sentiment as well.

Our sketch this week is a bit different from our norm.  I put it together but am not sure I did such a great job.

I thought it might give everyone a chance to work on a bit of a detailed background.  Here are the cards the team came up with:

Beautiful as always, ladies!  We have four completely different interpretations from our sketch to give everyone some great ideas.  I cannot wait to see what you think of.
Our sketch runs for two weeks (until January 26th) and you can enter below or as a comment on our Facebook Page.  I look forward to seeing your  interpretations for this challenge  Happy crafting this week!

Challenge #252

I hope everyone had a great New Year and that you are ready for a happy and exciting 2016.  I know I am.  We all make resolutions (even if we just think about them)  and mine is to work very hard to get my photography business running strong.  If anyone wants to share your resolution, please feel free to do so in the comments at the end of this post.

Our photo this week is one I took as part of a nature challenge.  The black squirrels were out and this little guy let me get very close to him. (Usually they are skittish).

On to the top three from Challenge # 250... (in random order)

All of the cards were awesome this week.  Congrats to the top three and thanks to everyone who took the time to enter.
(Hint:  Please make sure that I can download your card.  It should be in the form of a jpeg or a png. )

Now for our challenge for this week. The sketch is another courtesy of Crystal and it has many possibilities.
And the technique challenge (if you want to use it) is to use something sparkly on your card.

Here are  the cards from our talented design team:

Beautiful cards, ladies, and very inspiring1  I am sure that our followers will want to create cards of their own now that you have spurred them on.  Thanks so much to the team!

Remember, everyone, that our challenge runs for two weeks and you can enter below or as a comment on our Facebook page.  Happy creating, everyone!
