Challenge #207

Hi to everyone!  We are still wrapped up in bitter cold here and my photo for the week is one I took because of the frigid temperatures.  I went down to the waterfront on Sunday to capture the fog on the almost frozen-over river and this is what I got (at -30 degrees):
This is the bridge to the U.S. in the fog.

Now for our top 3 for challenge # 205.

Very cool cards, ladies!  And the other entries were awesome as well.  it was difficult to decide.  Thanks to everyone who participated.

This week, we have another sketch from one of our team members - Sarah C.  The ladies on this team are amazing and always willing to help out.  I appreciate them so much.
And the samples from the team:

Beautiful cards from the team!  I am sure you will be inspired to create something from our sketch.  I know I am inspired every time I see what the designers create.  I cannot wait to see your cards.  Have a great week!

Challenge #206

Hello to everyone!
I want to tell you what a great group of ladies I have on my design team.  I have been overwhelmed by the soccer photos I have been taking and cannot seem to stay afloat. These amazing ladies jumped in to help out and have created sketches for the next few months.  They will never know how much I appreciate them and I thank them from the bottom of my heart!
My photo today is an action shot of my niece's volleyball championship (I have not had time to get out and shoot)
I promise a great shot next week.

Challenge #204 only had two entries so there will not be a top 3 this week.  Thanks to both crafters who entered.

Thank you so much for playing along.

Now here is this week's sketch (courtesy of Barb) and it is a good one with lots of ways to interpret it:
And here are the inspirations from the team......

All I can say is "WOW!" Gorgeous cards, ladies.  I am sure you will inspire our followers to get out their supplies.  I cannot wait to see what everyone creates.

Thanks for visiting today.

Challenge #205

Good day to everyone!  I hope you are having a great February and are not snowed in.  I thank my lucky stars that we do not have the snow that Boston has (we have enough, thank you).  My first order of business is seeking your help.  We used to have lots of entries and now are struggling to get at least three.  Please send me any suggestions you may have and also any ways you think I can make this a better challenge site.  My designers have given me lots of ideas and they will be implemented in the near future.  Later this month, Try Stampin' will be four years old and I hope to start off our fifth year with a huge birthday bash.  (Please email me at cherylsteve.robinson@shaw.ca with any ideas.  I am open to try anything to keep us going)
The photo this week is a hockey one...sports photography is my love.
Now for the top three from Challenge #203 (in no particular order):

Three very different and stunning cards!  Congratulations, ladies!

For this week's challenge, I created a Valentines inspired sketch...but by no means do you have to make a Valentines card.  Please, create what you want using our simple sketch.
Here are the cards our designers came up with.

Gorgeous cards, ladies!  As you can see, our sketch is simply a starting point.  Interpretation is up to you.  I cannot wait to see the cards we get.
Thanks to all who stop by this week and hope you find some time to craft!

Challenge #204

Good morning to everyone...glad you could stop by.
I am sad to say that  Claire has decided to step down from our design team due to health reasons.  I wish her all the best and want her to know the door is always open for any of the designers to return should they desire.  I will miss her greatly.
That being said, I would like to take  two new designers on to our team.  If you would like to apply, please email me at cherylsteve.robinson@shaw.ca with a link to your blog, three samples of your work and when it is you will be able to begin.  I will close applications on Wednesday, February 11th and will notify prospective designers at that point.
Enough of business, now lets get on to the fun stuff....
First,my photo this week...
My younger grandson recently passed his first belt test in martial arts.  Here he is breaking a board.
Cool, don't you think?

Now for our top three from Challenge #202:

Awesome entries this week, everyone!  And a big hand for our top three!  Way to go!!!!

This week, our sketch is another pretty basic one.
And here are the designers' takes on the sketch:

Wow! Would would have thought that three graduated ovals could inspire such awesome cards?  Great interpretations, ladies!  Now lets see what you can come up with.
Have a great week!
