I am a retired high school educator (history/Current Issues/AP Gov't), mother to three grown sons, and Mimee to four grandchildren. The Pacific Northwest has been home after growing up and attending school on the east coast. I have been crafting cards since 1995 when a friend invited me to a card making party.
Sketch and color challenges are my favorites. They push me to be creative. I send many cards out to family and friends, make them for a local children's hospital and the challenges provide so many ideas and inspiration. I enjoy trying new techniques and mediums.
Denise Willerton
Hello, my name is Denise Willerton and I’m thrilled to be one of the Design Team Members at TSOT. My very supportive husband and I live in a small community on the outskirts of Winnipeg, MB Canada. We have three amazing children who have blessed us with NINE grandchildren ~ yup!!! 8 boys, and one girl ~ the joys of our life!
My creative journey began way back in kindergarten, I was the little girl who loved to color, fussy cut, glue sticks…all the things! I started to scrap book when our first child was born in 1980 and found my passion of Pretty Papers, Stunning Stamps…and all the things, I guess you can say I’ve come full circle. Back in 2000, my girlfriend and I started a small group at our church and taught card creations ~ and I haven’t stopped creating cards since then. I hope I can leave you with some inspiration and get you creating in your happy corner ~ Have a wonderful day and thank you for taking the time as I introduce myself.
